~ Association News ~

THE 2010 ANNUAL MEMBERSHIP MEETING was held at Captain's Quarters Restaurant on Tuesday , January 19, 2010. Three new Board members and new Board Officers were elected (see "Board" section for new Board), and the full budget proposal was approved. Owners, please see the  "Documents" section for full details of the voting and for a listing of the new quarterly maintenance fees by slip.

2009 WAS A DYNAMIC YEAR OF MAJOR IMPROVEMENTS: All of the dock poles and electric boxes were painted; all of the utility pedestals were renovated and painted; all of the ramps and D & E docks were resurfaced; the pump-out station was completely renovated, including resurfacing; and, the restrooms in the dock house were renovated.

UPDATE YOUR CONTACT INFORMATION ON THE WEB NOW.  With the 2010 boating season approaching, now is a good time to review and  update your profile on the web site.

SOME SAFETY REMINDERS. As the 2010 boating season approaches,  please help us ensure that the marina remains safe by keeping the dock area around your slip neat and  uncluttered.  Now is also a good time to refresh yourself and/or your renters with the Marina Rules of Conduct found under the "Documents" section of this site. One rule to note is that all vessels moored in the marina are required to exit the marina under their own power at least once every 90 days during the summer months (April-October). Additionally, as you know grilling on the docks is prohibited and now our insurance company has asked that we advise that the use of portable grills on boats in berth is a hazard and should be avoided.

NOTICE A MAINTENANCE NEED?  If you notice any maintenance needs for the docks, ramps, pedestals, and grounds, please report them to Stan on the Maintenance Request Form found in the Documents section of this site.

Public Notice D8 DWB-790 concerning future plans for the one-lane bridge over Harrods Creek was issued on November 18, 2008. Click here for a copy of the notice.
